A thief, who stole ornaments and
cash from a house, was lynched by locals when he was trying to flee in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh district today.
Five persons barged into a house in Sukrani village in Quarsi area and stole cash and ornaments, police said.
When they were trying to escape, locals chased them, caught hold of one of them and lynched him, they said.
His accomplices managed to flee, police said.
