Press Trust of India New Delhi
Chana prices moved up by 0.97 per cent to Rs 3,757 per quintal in futures trade today as participants raised bets on account of increased demand from dal mills.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in March went up by Rs 36, or 0.97 per cent to Rs 3,757 per quintal with an open interest of 87,070 lots.

Similarly, the commodity for delivery in April gained Rs 32, or 0.85 per cent to Rs 3,791 per quintal in 25,170 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in prices to fresh positions built up by traders after uptick in demand in the physical market.
