Rowdy sheeter hacked to death

: An allegedrowdy-sheeter, who was travelling in an autorickshaw with his wife and child, was hacked to deathat nearby Moodushedde today, police said.

The man was identified as Charan (31), a resident of Capitanio in the city.

Police said four persons in a vehicle intercepted the auto in which Charan was travelling and attacked him after dragging him out.

Charan was holding his child in his arms when theattack took place, but neither the child nor his wife wereinjured, police said.

He was rushed to the hospital by the autorickshaw driver but died soon after he was admitted.

Charan was on his way home with his family aftervisiting his mother, who had undergone a surgery recently, police said.
