: The Regional Passport office today said that it would conduct a special passport mela later this week in order to serve the public demand.
The special passport mela would be conducted on September 9 at Post Office Passport Seva Kendra, Vellore.
In order to meet the public demand and to facilitate submission of applications for the frequent travellers this arrangement is made, a PIB release said.
The Post Office Passport Seva Kendra, Vellore will accept applications as per time slots allotted to the applicants on that day.
Candidates interested to take part in the Passport Mela have to book on-line in the website --passportindia.Gov.In and pay online fee and take appointment.
The candidates need to bring the Application Registration Number with appointment details to the Kendra.
Candidates who walk-in without registration would not be entertained during the mela, the release added.
