Rs 12 lakh snatched from realtor

Two men allegedly looted Rs 12 lakh from a realtor today at Karamadi, about 35 km from here, police said.

Palanisamy (59) had withdrawn the amount from a bank and was getting into his car when a man suddenly approached him from behind and allegedly snatched the bag containing the money, police said.

The man then escaped with his accomplice who was waiting nearby on a motorcycle, they said.

Police are viewing CCTV footage of the bank to ascertain if anyone had been monitoring the movements of the realtor.
