Three motorcycle-borne men looted Rs 14 lakh at gun-point from the guard of a two wheeler showroom as they were on way to a bank near Maharaja College in Bihar's Bhojpur district today, a senior police officer said.
Superintendent of police (SP) Navin Chandra Jha said the guard Jitender Kumar was carrying Rs 14 lakh for depositing in a nearby Punjab National Bank branch when the gang waylaid him.
Three armed bike-ridden men snatched his bag and fired at him injuring him before fleeing from the spot, the SP said.
Jha said the injured guard has been sent to Sadar Hospital.
