Rs 2.45 cr worth gold seized from two air passengers

In separate seizures at the airport here today, officials of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) recovered undeclared gold worth Rs 2.45 crore from two passengers who arrived from overseas cities.
While four kg of the precious metal was recovered from one Sikandar who had arrived from Kuala Lumpur, another three kg seized from Siddiq who landed here from Dubai, airport officials said.
Both the passengers were natives of the city.
The seizure was totally valued at around Rs 2.45 crore and both persons had concealed the gold in their suitcase, they said adding the two had been detained.
