Rs.20 lakh missing from vegetable shop

Police are on the look out for some persons who have allegedly decamped with Rs.20 lakh from the shop of a wholesale vegetable merchant in the city.

Police said vegetable buyers and sellers, Anwar and Farooq claimed that they had kept the money in an almirah in the shop and found it missing when when they returned after 'Namaz' at a nearby Mosque.

Police are going through the footage of CCTV installed at a nearby shop to trace the thieves.
