Rs 50 lakh ketamine seized

The Narcotics Control Bureau has seized two kilograms of Ketamine, a drug prohibited by the Government, valued Rs 50 lakh and have arrested six persons in this regard.

The officials, acting on a tip-off, intercepted a car and a two wheeler in Tuticorin when the contraband was seized under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, an official release said.

The vehicles that were used for the smuggling the drug was also seized.

"The value of drug is Rs 50 lakh. All the six persons were arrested and remanded to judicial custody", it said.
