Two masked robbers today looted Rs 7 lakh cash at knife-point from two women officials manning a cash counter of a nationalised bank at Ambamata area in Udaipur, police said.

Two persons wearing mask dashed inside the bank's cash counter this afternoon and threatened the women officials with a knife to hand over the cash to them, they said.

The robbers then fled with Rs 7 lakh probably on a bike, police said, adding there was no security personnel guarding the gate of the bank and even the manager and other staff were not present at the time of robbery.

Check posts have been alerted to nab the culprits and search is underway, they said.
