Ruckus in Shonpur after lorry hits youth to death

A 25-year-old youth died when a lorry hit him in Shonpur village under Kashipur Police Station in Bhangor of South 24 Parganas district today, police said.

Locals blocked roads in protest of Yasmin Mistry's death that went out of hand when police arrived at the scene leading to a brick-battle in which four cops were injured and two police vans were destroyed, they said.

Police picket has been posted in the area as a precautionary measure, they said, adding that, nobody has been arrested till date in this connection.
