Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today paid a surprise visit to Gandhinagar Civil Hospital and enquired about the facilities being provided to patients.
"Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today paid a surprise visit to the Gandhinagar civil hospital on the first working day after Diwali. He met patients in the general ward," an official release said.
"He enquired about the facilities being provided to patients and asked if they got the medicines free or whether they purchased it from outside," it said.
The unscheduled visit by Rupani put the hospital administration in a somewhat difficult position. The Chief Minister, who spent around an hour at the hospital, visited three general wards.
