Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (RVPN) today reported 77.3 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 89.44 crore for the six months ended March 31.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 395.50 crore in the same period a year ago, RVPN said in a filing to BSE.
However, the net sales of the company increased to Rs 1,354.48 crore in the second half of 2015-16 over Rs 1,214.03 crore in the year-ago period.

The company's expenditure increased to Rs 856.19 crore, over Rs 576.69 crore in the same period a year ago.
RVPN owns, builds, maintains and operates the high-voltage electric transmission system. It also owns the shared generating projects as representative of erstwhile Rajasthan State Electricity Board (RSEB), according to its website.
