Ryan Gosling remembers Debbie Reynolds

"La La Land" star Ryan Gosling paid tribute to Debbie Reynolds, saying her movie "Singin' in the Rain" was a huge inspiration while they were making the musical.

Reynolds was at Palm Springs International Film Festival awards where his musial was honoured with this year's Vanguard Award, reported E! News.

"I wish I could have said this in person but I'd like to thank Debbie Reynolds for her wonderful career of work," said Gosling.

"She was an inspiration to us every day. We watched Singing in the Rain every day for inspiration, a truly unparalleled talent so thank you to her for all that inspiration," Reynolds said while accepting the award alongside director Damien Chazelle and composer Justin Hurwitz.
