S C Bajpai appointed Ordnance Factories DG

S C Bajpai was today appointed the new director general of Ordnance Factories and the chairman of Ordnance Factory Board (OFB).

Before his new engagement, Bajpai was additional DGOF and a member at OFB. He was also in-charge of Armoured Vehicles division, OFB sources said here.

An IOFS-cadre officer, he joined the Indian Ordnance Factories organisation in 1979.

A distinguished fellow of the National Defence College, Bajpai carries an M.Tech degree in mechanical engineering and a post-graduate diploma in management from MDI in Gurgaon, Haryana.

Bajpai also went to UK's Cranefield University for a Masters in Advance Manufacturing Technology and made a sojourn to Russia for training in tank overhauling, the sources said.
