Sacha Baron Cohen's next release is a political TV show titled "Who is America?"
In a teaser released on Showtime Network's official YouTube account, former US Vice President Dick Cheney appears on camera, saying, "I hope you'll tune in next week for an interview with me.
Cohen also posted a teaser clip on Twitter opens with text reading "Imagine if Sacha Baron Cohen had been undercover secretly filming a new show for a year."
In the clip, the actor asks Cheney to sign his waterboard kit.
Cheney, an open advocate of waterboarding and other torture techniques, agrees to the request.
"That's the first time I've ever signed a waterboard," he says in the clip.
Showtime's chief executive, David Nevins, said in a statement, "Nobody knows how to cause a stir like Sacha Baron Cohen, and it's going to be fascinating to watch what happens when Who Is America?' is released on the world."
Speculations about Cohen's show began on July 4, when the actor posted a video on Twitter, titled "a message from your President on Independence Day."
The video was from 2012, featuring US President Donald Trump criticizing the actor, who he calls "third-rate". In the clip, Trump says that he wished Cohen "would've been punched in the face so many times right now, he'd be in a hospital."
"Who is America" will premiere on Showtime on July 15.
