"Oz the Great and Powerful" director Sam Raimi has been roped in to helm Warner Bros.' futuristic thriller "World War 3".
The movie is an adaptation of George Friedman's non-fiction best-seller "The Next 100 Years" in which he makes predictions about a possible future, reported Aceshowbiz.
This is the first big screen project for the 56-year-old filmmaker in last two years.
The movie also brings Billblock Media and Warner Bros. together after two years.
"Warner Bros is an extraordinary studio, and we are grateful and thrilled to be in business with Greg and his creative team as we develop movies with worldwide box office potential. Starting with a film by Sam Raimi kicks off what we hope will be a long and fruitful relationship," Block said of the partnership.
