Sarees worth lakhs of rupees looted from showroom

Unidentified burglars struck at a saree showroom in Kavinagar area here and decamped with cloth materials worth several lakhs of rupees, police said today.

The theft came to light this morning when the showroom 'Gungun Saree Collection's owner Mahesh Choudhary found his shop ransacked and the sarees looted by the miscreants, they said.

A case has been registered in this regard while the further probes are on, police added.
