Schoolteacher crushed to death in Udhampur

A woman schoolteacher was crushed to death by a speeding truck in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir today.

The truck hit Palvi, a Kendriya Vidyalaya teacher, when she was riding motorbike to her school at Chinar in Udhampur district around 7:30 AM today, police said.

She died on the spot, they said, adding that the truck driver fled the spot with his vehicle.

Police have registered a case and started a hunt to nab the driver, they said.
