SDMC zonal inspector held for taking bribe: CBI

CBI today arrested a Zonal Inspector of South Delhi Municipal Corporation for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 32,000 for mutation.

It was alleged that Narendra Singh was demanding the bribe from the complainant for mutation in the name of his father, CBI Spokesperson RK Gaur said today.

He said a CBI team laid a trap and caught him red-handed while demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs 32,000 from the complainant.

"Searches are being conducted today in the office and residential premises of the accused," he said

The Spokesperson said the arrested accused will be produced tomorrow in the Designated Court, Delhi.
