Search Committee to select new IIT directors holds meeting

Six news IITs will soon get new directors as an Union HRD ministry appointed Search Cum Selection Committee to select the directors held meetings today.

Applicants for the position of Director of IITs - Tirupati, Palakkad, Jammu, Bhilai-Durg, Goa and Dharwad were considered.

Sources said that around 17 candidates were interviewed by the panel and the names will be sent to the President, who is the Visitor for approval.
