Security arrangements for Petrotech 2014 reviewed

Senior officials from the central and state governments have reviewed the security arrangements at the India Expo Centre & Mart where Petrotech 2014 will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh tomorrow.

SPG, NSG, and ATS commandos have taken over the security arrangements at the venue, SSP Preetinder Singh today said, adding that the district police have been given security arrangements outside the expo mart area.

At the Galgotia College auditorium, the SSP gave directions to policemen regarding security arrangements and for smooth flow of traffic from Delhi to the conference venue.

Around 2,000 policemen have been posted from Greater Noida and adjoining districts. ADG security Vishwajit Mahapatra also today supervised the security arrangements.
 

Forces have been deployed along DND Flyway, Mahamaya Flyover and Noida-Greater Noida Expressway route.

The organizers have planned shuttle bus service from the Botanical Garden metro station to the venue. Two shuttle buses will also ply from the Indira Gandhi airport for foreign delegates. Over 4,000 delegates from 62 countries are expected to attend the conference.
