Select base metals ends mixed

The industrial metals moved down as weak global economy influenced the market sentiment, though hope stimulus policies from China curtailed the losses.

Tin climbed by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,300 from overnight close of Rs 1,295.

Copper scrap heavy, copper armature and copper utensils scrap all inched up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 480, Rs 469 and Rs 443, respectively.

However, brass utensils scrap fell by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 326 from Rs 330 and brass sheet cutting declined by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 334 from Rs 337 previously.

Copper sheet cutting and zinc also softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 465 and Rs 142.
