Select base metals weaken on poor offtake

Select base metals including copper, brass, tin and nickel weakened at the non-ferrous metal market here today following stockists selling amid poor offtake from industrial users.

Nickel slipped by Rs 15 per kg to Rs 660 from Tuesday's close at Rs 675.

Tin, brass utensils scrap and copper sheet cuttings dipped by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 1,445, Rs 295 and Rs 371 from Monday's close at Rs 1,450, Rs 300 and Rs 376, respectively.

Copper armature moved down by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 375 as against Rs 379.

Copper scrap heavy, copper utensils and brass sheet cuttings softened by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 386, Rs 355 and Rs 310 as compared Rs 388, Rs 357 and Rs 312 yesterday.
