Select copra decline on poor demand

Copra Alapuzha, Copra Kozhikode and Copra edible Mumbai declined further at the spices market here today on poor demand from stockists and exporters amid adequate supplies.

Rest all other spices held steady in the absence of any major buying activity.

Copra office Alapuzha and Copra office Kozhikode fell by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 10,900, Rs 10,800 and 13,400 from overnight close level of Rs 11,000 and Rs 10,900.

Copra edible Mumbai also slid by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 13,400 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 13,500.

Black pepper (per kg) 710/760 (710/760), ginger bleached (per kg) 260 (260), ginger unbleached (per kg) 280 (280), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 10,900 (11,000), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 10,800 (10,900), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 22,000 (22,000), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 13,400 (closed).
