Select copra declines on sluggish demand, good supply

While, copra edible Mumbai gained on good stockist and retail buying.

Black pepper and ginger maintained a stable trend in the absence of any market moving factors.

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode dropped by Rs 50 per quintal each to Rs 4,100 and Rs 4,000 from Thursdy's closing level of Rs 4,150 and Rs 4,050.

However, Copra edible Mumbai gained by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 4,850 as against Rs 4,800 yesterday.

The following are today's closing rates in rupees with previous rates in brackets:

Black pepper (per kg) 430/455 (430/455), ginger bleached (per kg) 120 (120), ginger unbleached (per kg) 130 (130), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 4,100 (4,150), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 4,000 (4,050), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 6,500 (6,600) and copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 4850 (4,800).
