Select copra trades higher on good demand

Copra office Alapuza and copra office Kozhikode recovered at the spice market here today following renewed offtake from stockists and exporters.

While, copra edible gained, copra Rajapur slipped due to lower demand amid ample supply positions.

Rest all other spices ruled stable in the absence of any largescale buying.

Copra office Alapuzha rose Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 8,500 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 8,200 and copra office Kozhikode climbed Rs 400 per quintal to Rs 8,400 from Rs 8,000 previously.

Copra edible moved up by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 10,100 from its overnight close 10,000. However, Copra Rajapur Mumbai fell by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 17,000 as compared to Rs 17,200 yesterday.

Black pepper (per kg) 660/740 (660/740), ginger bleached (per kg) 250 (250), ginger unbleached (per kg) 270 (270), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 8,500 (8,200), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 8,400 (8,000), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 17,000 (17,200), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 10,100 (10,000).
