Select pulses led by moong fell up to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale market today owing to slackened demand.
Marketmen said besides adequate supplies from producing belts, low demand from retailers mainly pushed down prices of select pulses.
Besides, strengthening rupee against the dollar that made import of pulses cheaper influenced the sentiment, they said.
In the national capital, moong and its dal chilka local fell by Rs 200 each to Rs 5,800-6,800 and Rs 6,700-7,200 per quintal, respectively.
Moong dal dhoya local and best traded lower by the same margin to Rs 6,700-7,000 and Rs 7,500-7,600 per quintal, respectively.
Moth also eased by Rs 200 to Rs 4,700-5,000, while rajmah chitra declined by Rs 100 to Rs 4,150-7,750 per quintal, respectively.
