Seven killed in road mishap in Chhattisgarh

Seven people, including three women and two minor girls, were killed and two others injured when their SUV collided with a truck in Chhattisgarhs district Friday night, police said.

The incident occurred at around 9 pm on the Raipur- highwaynear Dudhgaon village under police station limits when the SUV was heading towards Jagdalpur, a local police said.

The vehicle collided head-on with the truck coming from the opposite direction, leaving three people, including the SUV driver, dead on the spot, he said.

Four others succumbed during treatment at a local hospital, he added.

The two injured were undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Efforts were on to trace the who fled the spot after the mishap, the said.
