Shashi Kapoor turns 77; Shabana, Rishi wish him good health

Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor, best known for his performances in films like "Jab Jab Phool Khile", "Deewar" and "Kabhi Kabhie", turned 77 today.

His nephew Rishi Kapoor and "Fakira" co-star Shabana Azmi wished the actor health and happiness on his birthday.

Rishi took to twitter and posted a rare photo of the handsome actor along with his wishes.

"Happy Birthday Shashi uncle God Bless good health and all happiness," tweeted Rishi, who worked with his uncle in many films including "Apna Khoon", "Kabhi Kabhie" and "Duniya Meri Jeb Mein".

Shabana thanked the actor-producer for giving Indian cinema the grand Prithvi Theatre, which Shashi built in the memory of his father Prithviraj Kapoor who had dreamt of having a place for his repertory theatre company.
 

"Happy Birthday #Shashi Kapoorji-most gorgeous man. Khush rahiye sehatmand rahiye (Be happy and healthy)... You have been a trailblazer and a huge inspiration. Prithvi Theatre is a legacy you have gifted to our city," Shabana posted on Twitter.

The actor has featured in over 160 movies and won three National Awards.
