Shinde doing fine; to be discharged in three days

Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, operated upon for a lung ailment at a Mumbai hospital would be discharged in three days, his daughter said today.

"He is doing perfectly fine and is getting discharged in three days," Praniti Shinde, who is also Congress MLA from Solapur, told PTI here.

Shinde, 72, underwent the surgery at Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital on August four. He was operated upon for a small growth in the lung.

The senior minister is expected to resume his normal activities shortly as the surgery was a minor one.
