The largest domestic shipliner Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) today reported about eight-fold jump in its standalone profit at Rs 82.17 crore for the quarter ended December 2017.
The company had clocked a profit of Rs 9.69 crore in the third quarter of 2016-17.
Its total income rose to Rs 989.66 crore, mainly on the back of other income, during the quarter under review as against Rs 976.36 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
The company's total expenses declined to Rs 886.49 crore from Rs 947.42 crore a year ago.
