Sikri murder: One held

One person was arrested today in connection with the murder of a youth over panchayat election enmity in Sikri village under Bhopa police station.

SSP KB Singh said that police have arrested one of the accused Munewwer and efforts were on nab the other three.

Meanwhile, SHO, Bhopa police station, has been shifted to police lines for alleged dereliction of duty in connection with the murder, he said, adding he will be replaced by Pitem Pal.

Five policemen had been suspended earlier.

Tehsin (28) was allegedly shot dead by associates of a former Gram Pradhan on Friday.

The victim was a supporter of another former Gram Pradhan Ummar Ali.
