Six accused booked under Gangster Act

Six persons, arrested for allegedly abducting and selling a nine-month-old child, have also been booked under the Gangster Act, police said today.

The six accused, identified as Ashish, Rahul, Fatima, Gita Rastogi, Arif, and a doctor named Anita have been detained under the Ganster Act for abducting Junaid from here and later selling him in Delhi, they said.

Junaid was kidnapped by the gang members in March this year and was later sold to another man in the national capital for Rs 5,000.

The infant was later rescued by the police and a doctor from Delhi was also arrested in this connection.
