Six people who were engaged in hunting in the forest areas of Anaikatti in the district were arrested on Monday, police said.
Forest department officials on patrol noticed the six people hunting in the forest area, nabbed them and handed them over at the nearby police station.
They also seized four country-made guns and few cartridges from their possession.
