As many as six peahens were found dead today in an agriculture field in the outskirts of Sirikonda village near here.
According to villagers, the peahens might have died after consuming poisonous grains.
However, the exact cause behind the deaths is yet to be ascertained, Karimnagar DFO Narsiah said.
Further details are being investigated.
