SLAF chief meets IAF counterpart

Visiting Sri Lankan Air Force (SLAF) Air Marshal Gagan Pulasthi Bulathsinghala today held talks with his counterpart Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha here, on ways to enhance bilateral defence ties.

Bulathsinghala called on the Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee, and Chief of the Air Staff Raha here at the Air Headquarters here.

During their meeting, the Air Chiefs discussed matters of mutual interest aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two Air Forces, an IAF statement said.

Bulathsinghala is expected to visit the Officers' Training Academy at Gaya, the Institute of Aerospace Medicine at Bangalore and Air Force Station, Jalahalli.
 

He would be interacting with the personnel of SLAF who are undergoing training at these establishments.

Yesterday, the SLAF chief had visited the National Defence College at New Delhi, of which he is an alumnus.

The visit is aimed at fostering goodwill and is a part of the ongoing process towards enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries, the statement said.
