Small sugar recovers on millers offtake

Small sugar prices recovered at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today on renewed demand from stockist as well as miller offtake.

While, medium sugar ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying support.

Small sugar (S-30) moved up by Rs 3 per quintal to Rs 3,062/3,145 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 3,062/3,142.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,062/3,145 (Rs 3,062/3,142).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,172/3,322 (Rs 3,172/3,322).
