Small sugar regains on fresh demand

Small sugar prices regained at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to fresh demand from bulk consumers and millers.

While, medium sugar ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying support.

Small sugar (S-30) moved up by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 2,866/3,012 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 2,856/3,012.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,866/3,012 (Rs 2,856/3,012).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,986/3,192 (Rs 2,986/3,192).
