Chargesheet filed against 2 accused in gang rape case

A charge sheet has been filed against two accused in the gang rape of a riot victim living in a relief camp at Jogya Kheri village, police said.

The duo -- Sunil and Sachin-- have been booked under various sections of the IPC, they said.

The 20-year-old girl, whose family was displaced from their home at Fugana village during Muzaffarnagar riots, was raped on November 2 and the two accused were arrested on a complaint lodged by the girl's father, police said.

The medical report of the victim confirmed rape, they said.

The girl was produced in court where she recorded her statement following which a charge sheet was filed against the accused yesterday, they said.
