A snake was today found at the bottom of an overhead tank on the premises of the PWD's Public Health Division office at Uppalam here today, officials said.
A 35-year-old man, Natarajan, who was on a visit to the office, spotted the nine-foot long reptile (sarai snake) and caught it and handed it over to forest department personnel.
According to officials, the sarai snake is non-venomous.
