Senior Congress leader Somen Mitra today said when Mamata Banerjee was in the opposition she would always demand a CBI probe but after coming to power the TMC chief is against CBI probe.
"I want to know why she is against CBI probe," Mitra said while addressing a party public meeting at Amta in Howrah.
The senior Congress leader also demanded why the West Bengal government is not arresting Sudipto Sen's wife and others involved in Saradha scam.
Mitra claimed that when he was in the Trinamool Congress he would always questions like the Saradha scam, rise in crime against women and deterioration in the law and order situation in the state but the Chief Minister would never reply to his questions or concern.
Addressing the meeting AICC general secretary Shakeel Ahmed Khan alleged that there was rise in crime against women in the state and also deterioration in the law and order situation.
The meeting was also addressed by senior Congress leaders Pradip Bhattacharya, Manash Bhuniya and Kazi Abdul Rezzak.
