Soybean futures fall on global leads

Soybean prices slackened by Rs 14 to Rs 3,336 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators reduced holdings in tandem with lower overseas cues.

Marketmen said following the subdued global markets trend, traders were minimizing their holdings, which described the downfall in soybean futures prices.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, soybean delivery for October fell by Rs 14 or 0.42 per cent to Rs 3,336 per quintal, persisting an open interest of 52,630 lots.

Also, the delivery for November shed Rs 13 or 0.39 per cent to Rs 3,338 per quintal, mirroring an open interest of 30,320 lots.
