Soybean prices ruled higher by Rs 16 to Rs 3,044 per quintal in futures trading today on widening of positions by participants, taking positive leads from global markets.
Marketmen said, raising of bets triggered by a firm trend overseas, mainly influenced soybean prices in futures market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for August delivery was trading higher by Rs 16, or 0.53 per cent, to Rs 3,044 per quintal, revealing an open interest of 64,210 lots.
Soybean for delivery in October also gained Rs 15, or 0.48 per cent, to Rs 3,169 per quintal, depicting an open interest of 32,310 lots.
