Samajwadi Party today demanded immediate appointment of a Lokayukta in Uttarakhand and sought publication of reports of Bhati and Tripathi commissions which probed corruption allegations against prominent leaders.
The party also demanded judicial inquiries into alleged scam in disaster relief and the recent sting CD episode.
A SP delegation led by state president Satya Narayan Sachan called on Uttarakhand Governor K K Paul and submitted a memorandum to him containing a slew of demands including immediate appointment of the Lokayukta to keep corruption under check.

The party also demanded that reports of Bhati and Tripathi commissions, which looked into corruption allegations against prominent leaders, should be made public.
It also sought the Governor's intervention to ensure that High Court judges conduct probes into the alleged misappropriation of disaster relief funds and a sting CD released recently which purportedly shows Chief Minister Harish Rawat's former Personal Secretary Mohammad Shahid negotiating a bribery deal with a middleman for liquor licenses.
