With a view to clear the extra rush of passengers in connection with the annual festival at Vailankanni in the district, the Southern Railway has announced special trains from and to Vasco-da-Gama in Goa.
A Southern Railway press release said, Vasco-da-Gama - Velankanni Special Train (No.07323) will leave Vasco-da-Gama at 12-00 noon on August 27 and arrive at Velankanni at 12.25 pm, on the next day.
In the return direction, the special train (No.07324) will leave Velankanni at 9.45 pm on August 28 and arrive at Vasco-da-Gama at 9.30 pm on the next day.
The trains will stop at Madgaon, Karwar, Kumta,Bhatkal, Kundapura, Udupi, Suratkal, Mangalore Jn., Kannur,Kozhikkode, Shoranur Jn., Palakkad, Coimbatore, Erode, Karur, Tiruchchirappalli, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam.
