A special train carrying pilgrims came to Midnapore town today on the occasion of URS festival of the Muslims.
Altogether 2229 people were travelling in the train including 868 females in the train which came from Rajbari, Dhaka and will return tomorrow evening, a district official said.
This was the 115th URS held in Jora Masjid of Midnapore town attended by many pilgrims from Bangladesh and several Indian states.
