State-level sports meet in Coimbatore from tomorrow

A total of 1,650 students from 36 constituent and affiliated colleges of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) across the state would take part in a five-day inter-collegiate sports and games meet beginning here tomorrow.

Teams would be awarded with winners and runners-up trophy, a TNAU release said today.

Besides, there would be 16 athletic events for boys and girls separately, where individual athletes would be awarded with medals, it said.

City Commissioner of Police K Periaiah would inaugurate the meet.
