Stranded pilgrims and tourists return from Uttarakhand

More than a hundred tourists and pilgrims from West Bengal, who were stranded in Uttarakhand, returned here today from Dehradun by a flight chartered by West Bengal government, official sources said.

West Bengal Planning Minister Rachpal Singh accompanied around 141 tourists and pilgrims in the chartered flight from Dehradun to Kolkata, the sources said.

West Bengal government is making all efforts to bring back the stranded tourists and pilgrims of the state from Uttarkhand, the sources added.

Some of the stranded tourists and pilgrims are also returning to the state by train, they added.
