Student found hanging, suicide suspected

A 21-year-old student was today found hanging at his rented accommodation in Sapror village here, with the police suspecting he might have committed suicide.

The youth Sumit was studying at a private university here and belonged to Saptari in Nepal, police said.

His neighbours said they found Sumit's room bolted from inside today.

When they peeped into his room from the window, they found Sumit hanging inside, after which police was called. No suicide note was found from his room, police said.

The youth's body has been sent for post-mortem and police are waiting for the arrival of his parents.
